Rond 1970 stond de hoofdstad van Ethiopië, Addis Ababa, bekend als ‘Swinging Addis’. Die reputatie staat nog steeds! Als je de onweerstaanbare groove van Ethiopische muziek vermengt met de beat van klezmer krijg je onwaarschijnlijk pure dansmuziek. Gasten deze avond zijn o.a zangeres Minyeshu Kifle Tedla (Ethiopie) ,percussionist Osama Meeligi (Sudan) en gitarist Gil Lopez(Ned/Sp).

Around 1970 Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa was known as ‘Swinging Addis’. The reputation still stands, it’s impossible to keep off the dance floor when Ethiopian musicians start grooving and play their unique jazzy funky African soul. So hang on to your hat! This will be a night to remember, dance until you drop to the irresistible beat of an Ethiopian Klezmer mix. The AKB welcomes Ethiopia’s finest: singer, dancer and choreographer Minyeshu Kifle Tedla and Osama Meeligi (Sudan)-percussion, Gil Lopez(Naked Ears) gitaar.
