(Un)Thinking Futures
Een tentoonstelling van het derde jaar Keramiek aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Loods6 werd oorspronkelijk gebruikt als opslagplaats voor schepen en heeft een geschiedenis waarin de functionaliteit van de ruimte in de loop van de tijd werd hergebruikt. De vluchtige identiteit wordt bovendien in stand gehouden door de nabijheid van de zee, waar de verschuivende kustlijn voortdurend haar eigen grens opnieuw trekt. Nu we een nieuw tijdperk ingaan in deze snel veranderende wereld, nodigt “(Un)Thinking Futures” uit tot contemplatie over wat komen gaat. Deze tentoonstelling reageert op een liminale ruimte en nodigt uit tot het blootleggen van spookachtige herinneringen.
Als afstudeerklas Keramiek aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie nodigen we je graag uit voor onze laatste tentoonstelling als studenten, voorafgaand aan onze afstudeershow in juli 2025

An exhibition by the 3rd year of Ceramics at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Initially used as a storage facility for ships, Loods6 has a history where the functionality of its space was repurposed over time. Its transitory identity is furthermore sustained by its proximity to the sea, where the shifting shoreline continuously redraws its own boundary. As we enter a new era in this rapidly changing world, (Un)Thinking Futures invites a contemplation about what is to come. Responding to a liminal space, this exhibition invites ghostly memories to be uncovered.
As the graduate class of Ceramics at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, we would like to invite you to our last exhibition as students, leading up to our grad show in July 2025
