The Jazz Lobby: live jam session

Amsterdam has its new place for swing, hot jazz, New Orleans jazz, pre-war jazz, Manouche jazz, Dixieland with a new concept jam session every 1st & 3th Thursday of the month.

Program:
20:30 Bar open for drinks
21:00 Band plays (TBA)
22:00 Open jamsession
 
Etrance €15 (in cash) if you don’t jam, FREE entrance if you play or sing in the jam session!
Voluntary donation for the band are very much appreciated!

The Jazz Lobby is situated in the entrance/foyer of the unique monumental/art deco Kompaszaal, that used to be the waiting hall of the Dutch Royal Steamship Company, in east of Amsterdam.

The Jazz Lobby is a temple for the enthousiasts of the first streams of jazz: be it musicians there to share their craft, art seekers that indulge in the music or dancers who are letting loose on the dance floor.
 
The goal is to let this community grow as much as possible, sharing ideas and concepts, communicating between various art forms and partying like crazy!
